I come from a family of breeders and have about 17 years experience myself. I am currently helping to train 3 offspring of what I have produced for potential title. I belong to a local training club that is AKC licensed.

I have earned one of my bitches a CGC; certified TDI. Her offspring are progressing, as well.  I handle my own dogs (with my children's help and the trainers at the club).

My Vet's have referenced me out and have purchased my pups. I have more than 85 references.

I raise well-bred, good tempered, champion potential Labs that have a Great disposition and the best start of life.

I have documentation pertaining to the lineage of my stock. It shows the champions, their parentage, and x-ray information.

It has not been my practice to operate 'pet store-style'; PLEASE note that recently, I had been asked to foster some pups from a Mom that was in jeopardy. After careful consideration and consultation with my Vet, I 'saved' some pups with the help of a Bitch that was Whelping. If now (or future pups) are those that I have not personally produced, but have chosen to foster for the benefit of the puppies, the same high standard of practice for upbringing with contract/guarantee would still be in place. Pedigrees, Certifications, etc. would also be certain BEFORE I chose to foster pups with any whelping bitches of mine. I still adhere and maintain the quality and standard that my reputation and experience are built upon.

FYI: There are several strains of Leptospirosis out there. Puppies and dogs alike, routinely are immunized for only 2 strains, this is NOT enough. TALK TO YOUR VET, research this on the internet CDC (center for disease control), find out the proper ways to protect your canine(s).  For potential new owners, there will be additional LEPTO immunizations for ALL pups BEFORE they go to new homes.  DO THE RESEARCH AND MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ANIMALS ARE PROTECTED

The Importance of Microchipping

I recently received yet another email in regard to a lost puppy. With a microchip and the proper communication to local (and not so local) Vets, shelters, etc. the baby would get back home. As it is, the puppy may be separated from its owners forever.

All of my pups are microchipped to help prevent such a great loss.

Each year, more than 10 million pets are lost, and, according to the American Humane Association, only about 17% of lost dogs and 2% of lost cats ever find their owners. Nearly 20 million pets are euthanized each year because their owners cannot be located. If your pet is microchipped, there is a much greater chance that they will return to you safely. A microchip is a small computer chip that has an identification number programmed into it. It is small enough to fit into a hypodermic needle. Once implanted, the I.D. number cannot be altered or removed.
